The Anchor Archive Zine Library is a non-profit, volunteer-run library in Halifax, Nova Scotia that provides access to independent media and art and supports zine-making. Our physical collection of over 7,000 zines can be browsed and borrowed during open hours. Look below for new zines in our collection and search our online catalogue for more.
Beyond the Saddle Stitch: Alternative Zine Binding Skill Share
Come celebrate the last Zine Drop-in with a Skills Sharing event focused on alternative binding and formatting techniques for zines!
Bring:
- zines with cool binding or formatting (doesn't have to be one you've made)
- binding knowledge to share with your peers (optional!)
- a hungry mind
Workshop will be 7:00 - 8:30 pm on May 4th.

Our 20th Birthday Party!
The Anchor Archive's 20th birthday party was a zine love dream come true! Zine-makers of all ages and zine library members from all generations of the project's life came together to share their zines, reminisce, connect, and reconnect.

The Anchor Archive Zine Library turned 20 years old in July! So let’s gather at 2177 Gottingen on Sunday, October 26 at 4:00 pm to celebrate zines, zine-makers, and the Anchor Archive with an afternoon of zine trades, readings, and performances.
Zinemaking Drop-ins and Workshops! Mondays!
Hey there zinesters! The Anchor Archive is hosting zine-making drop-in nights every Monday from 6-9 pm and two intro to zine-making workshops!
All are welcome, come to work on your zine projects or start a new one, check out our zine library, learn about Anchor Archive, make some friends, or help catalogue zines.
If you're new to zines, come to our free workshops!
We're buying our building! Come celebrate!
We invite you to celebrate the purchase of 2177 Gottingen Street with us on Sunday, May 25 from 1-5pm at RadStorm. There will be tours of the building, food, music, screenprinting demos, and more! This is also a chance for us to celebrate all of the people who made this possible.
Website will be offline May 7 in the early morning
